Rough Idle?

Is it normal for the engine in my 85 gs to shake a little when it is idling between 1,000 and 900 rpm's? Would this be considered a rough idle?

I don't think anything is supposed to shake. My 82 GX shakes when it idles ~500 RPM [that's when warming up.]

Does it, by chance, have a miss at idle as well?

Yeah it has somewhat of a miss. I checked vacuum with a gauge and it said 17 which is about average right, rebuilt the carb, new plugs and wires

Drifting Rex, I appologize for cdrd51's behavoir.
You see, he just got an Rx-7 and still behaves like he's a 16 year old with a tricked out Civic; A rude, obnoxious arrogant punk.

Have you tried a new cap and rotor? Test-light your plug wires. That'll tell you if it's a fuel delivery or an electrical problem.

Well, thank god I have somebody to apologize for me. Thanks dad.

Or it could be idle mix screw out of adjustment. Or timing. Or a vacuum leak. Or some other thing. But all those answers are already here, at the magical end of the e-fingertips, waiting for a search.
