Rotary Engineering Dual Weber Guys? You out there?

Ive got a set of the dual weber 36 DCD's on my RX2 as of yesterday. They fired right up first try but im missing a few pieces and was going to try to replicate them. I dont have the throttle cable mount or the choke Y-cable. Anybody that has both or either of these and could get me some pics and measurements would be great.

Thanks

I can't wait to see/hear this next time I see the orange beast.

What? Did seeing Roberts setup on his SA finally motivate you to install this?

I am jealous!

I am unable to do pics right now as my camera went crazy the other day so I will have to borrow or or sometning.

On the choke cable I have read that the set up that RE used were bicycle pieces so I would try to come up with something there. It uses the stoch choke cable and it hooks up to a aluminum "doubler" that has two bicycle cable that hook up to the carbs.

I will try to get some pics soon.

Robert

The choke cable "Y" on my setup was a steel tube with a slider inside that had recesses for one cable on one side (the OEM choke cable) and two cables on the other. The slider was basically a cylinder that slid inside the steel tube. There were hexagonal caps on each end -- one had one stepped hole and the other had two. I don't have the setup anymore or any pics, but hopefully this description helps.

I got them on the car last night and they are running just think it would be better if I could put the throttle cable on the way it was designed. The choke however is kinda no big deal, id I can find something ill hook it up if not oh well. I never have had a choke on the deuce and its always fired up no problems.

I have not needed the choke on my dcds, you can get by without them fine. Mine will even crank in freezing weather without using the choke. It would crank ok, but maybe not idle for a while.

You guys in the warm climates might get by without a choke -- not here in Michigan

When I had the sidedraft on mine I did need the choke, but with the 36 dcd's not so much.

I definitely need the choke these days on the Dell to make it drivable while still cold.

You may be able to use this to make a choke Y-Cable:
