I pulled out the bins and interior for the most part, so that is not a issue with me. I was looking at the autopower, and like the forward arms, but have read of people not liking the fitment. I want a good bar for safety, as this is a E mod auto-x car (plus it should run 11s at the strip, and I need the bar to avoid getting kicked out), but want to keep the weight down.

The leg room issue is the biggest reason why I'm going to a full custom job. Rear interior has been removed, and the main hoop is being built off the brace that runs where the storage bins used to be... Pics will be up when it's done...

Lost use how, as in the door won't open? Would you be able to weasel a battery in and out of there provided there's no door on the bin?

Getting a battry in and out? Doubtful... I had my door velcroed on, since that's where my stereo stuff was... Maybe a "motorcycle" size battery

You planning on getting rid of that bar when you get your custom jobber?

Check out Izzy's. He is out of St. Louis and has a ton of experience in cage build-up for RX-7's. I've personally seen his work and it is outstanding. I would drive my car the 8 or so hours to him just to have a roll bar or cage installed, he is that good.
