Only $5,500 too. WHAT A STEAL.

Sorry, I'm too tired to not be cynical.

You need to stop being logical! It'll get you in trouble one day.

IIRC, it is just a matter of swapping parts from one car to the other, but rather tedious and I would not recommend it. Ensure any aftermarket parts (e.g. inlet manifold) are compatible with RHD configuration.

Ok, here is the hard truth. It is definetivly not just a matter of swapping over parts.. The biggest obstacle is that the steering coulumn is "hung" on a support piece, that has to be cut of and welded over to the other side. Also, you would need to drill new holes for the steering coulumn. Another thing that could be a pain in the ***, is the relocation of the fan itself. You should also remember that the RHD models came with the old style dashboard, so everything is made to fit the type called SA. Parts from a RHD could come in handy...

I know this first hand because i do own both a RHD from Japan, and a LHD. Why do you want to pursue a strange conversion like this anyway? Remember, having the steering box on the right side of the engine makes smaller room for a turbo, a swap atleast 5 times as easy!

It would probably cost you more than buying a RHD 12A turbo straight from Japan.... Heck, i only paid 3500 dollars for mine, and i live in Norway! That was including freight!

The LHD configuration has more room for turbo, and also sidedraught manifolds.

Swapping over parts is how I describe it, and would not characterize anything as a "major" obstacle--including the steering column. For perspective at the same time I also performed other modifications to the cars, and so perhaps some for the LHD>RHD or RHD>LHD change itself. It did not cost anything other than my time. However, the economics of the situation were different in the 1980's: there were very few RX-7's in the U.K., and I already had the cars and parts. It's doubtful I would do it again in the present day: better to buy the whole car.
