you will need to install 2 MSD 6AL for trailing and leading coils. Otherwise, you need to install a bolt on your gas pedal so the pedal wont hit the metal.

You only need one MSD box, if you are willing to run with no timing split. (I've done this way since about 2008)

Rev limiters seem to hurt more than they help. The shock loading of hitting a rev limiter while under load does worse things to the engine than a momentary overrev. Just keep it under 8500 and you should be fine. A street port with a carb of that size probably isn't going to be making power that high, anyway.

Rev limiters aren't much use on a rotary, because momentary over revving won't blow your motor up like on a piston motor. During autocross, a lot of times I'll have to listen to the damn buzzer for several seconds, but it doesn't seem to effect the lifespan of the motor at all.

Take the money you would have spent on a MSD, and use it for something useful, like suspension upgrades.

Painful experience would lead me to disagree with that. I lost two engines to overrev. 3mm seals do not LIKE high RPM. That's why I play with 2mm seal engines now.

If you have a Series 3, your tach is probably way off. Both that I've had read 10% too high.

has this effect on video - at 8000rpm indicated, the good tach is registering about 7200-7300. Stoch tach isn't worth much of anything except a general vague idea of how fast the engine is going...
