removing logicon

removing logicon

is it necessary to remove dash to remove logicon?
does anyone have a write-up on this for a gslse?
i removed the radio surround but cant unplug the wires
is there to remove without taking out the dash??
i searched with no luck

shouldnt be that hard. remove the clock and see if you can see the connector.

Use a long narrow screwdriver to release the tab on the connector.

there is about 3 -4 plugs for that. im pretty sure that you can get it out w/o pullin your dash. you just want the control unit out right? why are you taking it out are you replacing it or are you pulling everything out? there are 4 plug and the looms for the plugs range from 6 inchs to 2 ft you might want to see if you can reach under the dash at all

you can try and get your hands in there i did it but i was pulling the dash out at the same time on my parts SE

Is it DSM.WHO changing it or Jl_rotary? Or 2 different people doing it at the same time?

i think we both are attempting to change the logicon, not sure. i know i am just changing the logicon, but i cant get that one plug, whts the easiest way to get that ?

I wish I could answer that question but I honestly don't remember. I don't know if when I did mine that I removed the glovebox or what. I do know that it was a major PITA. You might want to use trochoids link to the FSM and see if they can shed light on it for you.
