Removing interior tar...

Ive already searched around, and the only stuff I could find is to chip it out when it is cold, or to use dry ice. The problem is I live in Sunny Arizona, and I dont like having to rub dry ice all over the car. Is there some sort of chemical that exhist's or an easier method out there to get this done? Ive been spending every sunday for the past 2 months trying to scrape this out with screw driver's and de-greaser.

getting it cold is the best method because it makes it brittle and come off in chunks instead of the gooey mess im sure youve been fighting for the past 2 months

my buddy and i did his AE86 in fall, so around 60 to 70 degrees, and i just used a large flat head skrew driver and a rubber mallot. it was like a big think sticker, once you got it going tou could get some big chunks out. it takes time no matter what.

Go and buy the dry ice. Its your best friend. Ive done 2 cars, one the hard way with an air chisel and one with dry ice. Trust me, dry ice is the way to go. Break it up into chunks, spread on one area, cover with towel/blanket. Wait 20 min or so= 2 beers. Move dry ice to next area and cover. Then whack floorpan with mallet. It should start comming off in big pieces. Id suggest buying 10 lbs or so to start the project. 20 would be better.

Dry ice you can get at any grocery store. Seeing how I get free CO2 for extinguisher's, and free extinguisher's ill try that, unless you mean dry chemical. When I tried the dry ice it didnt work all that well, and wasted 15lb's of dry ice as well.
