remote starter and carb 12a? possbile?

Think it will work? I dont need to hold the clutch in to start the car like most manuals. Anyone know before i start to splice wires?

It might work in the summer when the engine is warm, but in the winter it will not work as you need to activate the choke. If you can find a way to do this, go for it. Otherwise its just a waste of time.

could just force the choke **** open when you shut the carb off. Use a piece of fuel hose or a binder clip.

not to say i havent dont it... but what you would want to do is have a celinoid (sp) and have that hold the choke while your car starts...... not to say i havent done it

celinoid (sp)
solenoid

since the choke releases automatically, all you need is before the car is started, have the solenoid engage the choke and then let go. if the engine is warm the choke will release automatically, and if its cold it will stay on until it isnt needed. it shouldnt be too hard to do if you have some electrical experience.

edit: also, it would be wise to rig up something so when the key isnt in the ignition with it running after you press the remote button, if someone tries to put it in gear, the fuel pump power is cut. the best way i can think of would be to steathly wire a switch to the clutch so when they push the clutch once, the pump power is cut and the only way to turn it on is to know where the switch is

i have thought of making a ring to go around the stick under the boot small enough that when the stick is in gear either way it would complete a circuit not allowing the car to start
