Redline Alarm

I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to make the redline alarm go off at a higher RPM. Right now mine goes off at around 6500 rpm. I read somewhere that the 13b was good up to around 13k rpm so i figure that an extra 1-1.5k would'nt hurt. Any Ideas. Thanks in advance.

There is a how to on adjusting the red line buzzer around.

Search this forum, and give google a shot I found it like four years ago so it is out there I just can't remember where.

As for the 13K RPM red line... IN THEORY rotory engins, regardless of what model (10A, 12A, 13B, 20B...) have no redline, however the please bare in mind that the engins tend to fly appart around 13.5k RPM so testing that point is a bad idea...

You'd be outside the powerband beyond the buzzer. So the only thing it'll do is get rid of the noise and shorten the lifespan of the engine. (unless the engine as been modified)

NEVER take a stock engine above 8400 rpm. At that point the engine is turning so fast that things tend to break, especially 20 year old engine parts. But its not only the engine that will have problems. The clutch disk will start to have problems, you could wreck the water pump, your alternator, and anything else that may be turned by the engine.

Search the forums and find out what it takes to get a rotary to run reliably at 13000 rpm.

It should go off at either 6500 or 7000. Mine doesnt work either BUT if you look at the interior fuse box it will be above it and have a black box, a silver box, and a relay (black also) that says "HORN RELAY" on it. The buzzer I think is the black box that is not the relay. May take some nifty neck stretching to see it, but its up there.

The buzzer is located on the back of the gauge cluster.

if the buzzer is on the back of the cage cluster, where is it at, and how do I test/ replace it? what else could cause it to not function?

my 7 doesnt have a tach, so ive been real careful as to how high i let the rpm's get, but ive brought them decently high, like to where its backfiring when i let off, but i dont think ive heard the revlimit bell =/ ive heard about it, an there is a whistle noise when i have the pedal to the floor.. but i dont think thats it, will i know it when i hear it?
