It's good stuff. TJ, but I wish you would just get on with enjoying what you've got until the detective gets back and resumes his work.
A judge will look down their nose at you if you have a harassment complain filed against you, and that's just what trash like that will do!

Be happy that the detectives have reopened the case, and be patient.

-Stay out of harms way! You did good, but I fear you might've been lucky, too! You just don't know. How can you know what people like that will do? In a drunkin frenzy of pure adrenalyn and stupidity, they could do something REALLY stupid, and you could get hurt. If you do, all of your perspectives will change.
I think you should go consult a lawyer. He/;she can tell you the statue of limitations, ect.
Meanwhile, set your efforts to build a civil suit against them. But for Gods sakes, stop taking all these chances! Hi speed persuit, T.J.- that's what that was. Did'nt feel like it at the time, but then again, just before most car crashes never actually does feel like a dangerous situation.

Just be safe.

T.J. -- you have ***** of steel! Keep on these SOBs, and get your revenge. But be a bit careful, eh?

On the debt collection uissue, I don't think you will be able to sell the "debt" unless you have a judgement. I'm in the business, and in the sale of receivables, someties the collectability rate is only 10% so your success could be limited.

Your best avenue is the criminal case, where the judge requires restitution to keep the ******** out of jail. That will be the best way to get your funds. Stay the course!

No, the detective is back from his leave of absense, but I still havent heard anything. I went in to see him about a week or two ago, but he wasnt in.

Its funny that someone replied to this post just now, because I still have it marked as subscribed, and I was just talking to my ex-gf about my car, and how it got stolen and everything, and how Im being pressured to get rid of all my "junk" at my Dads house by my Step Mom. I dont know if anything will ever happen with my car guys, its looking worse and worse by the day...

Don't give up. Just keep reminding the cops PLEASANTLY.

Negotiate with your step mother. You're an adult now, so take the lead in acting grownup. It may be hard, especially with women.

ROFLMAO, I dunno why, but "Its all about the Wankel" just made my day, lol .

Yeah, I dont know what I want to do. My Step Mom is mad because there are 3 RX-7s sitting at my Dads house doing nothing. Mine, my 85 -SE for my suspension parts, and my 84 GS "general parts" parts car. She wants something to happen with them so theyre not just sitting around all the time, and I cant say that I blame her. I want to get all the bushings, suspension, and brake parts I want to buy so I can swap the -SE suspension onto my car and get it done all at once, then, I plan on taking the entire interior out of the -SE and putting into my 85 GSL because the 85 has shitty beat to hell red leather, and the -SE has near mint grey and black (like Direct Freak's, and I think ioTus's). Then, anything left from the -SE will be parted out, and the shell taken to the junk yard. In the mean time, I also need to try and strip down the 84 GS, selling what I dont want, keeping what I do, and then get rid of that one too. That way, Ill be down to just my 83 "sitting around", and I know she can deal with that.

The problem putting that plan into action is needing the money to get started on ANYTHING. With my current finacial situation, I cant even afford the gas to get down there to start doing anything because he lives nearly an hour and fifteen minutes away... Hopefully soon though, my Mom will co-sign on a loan with me so I can buy my co-workers truck (a truck Ive wanted since 13, a 1985 Toyota 4x4), then Ill be freeing up some more money because the loan will be for the amount I need for the truck, plus a little more to pay off two of my most outstanding debts. That way, I will be taking one smaller amount out of each of my two pay checks each month rather than multiple larger amounts out of each check. So, as you can see, that will free up money that I can actually save and start spending on things I need to get my car going again, which was my plan ALL ALONG!

Anyway, thats enough from me... Ill try and keep my chin up, but its just so damn hard sometimes .

Well, the update for this week is that there is no update. There isnt really much I can do to make this go any faster. Its all about just getting the detective to do his work, but I cant exactly stand over him cracking a whip, as much as I would like to. I check in at the police department every now and then, but all I get is the same old "the detective isnt in, heres his card", or the ever popular "You'll have to call him, I dont know anything about it". I of course HAVE called him numerous times to no avail. I really am just starting to not even care. Ive pretty much given up on RX-7s for now. I havent sat in the drivers seat of one in almost 3 weeks. Ive been riding my CBR600 around because the silver one I was driving has so many ******* problems Im tired of it (the latest of which was an exploding-into-flames starter solenoid). I dont even know what Im going to do right now. Between my Dad and I we have 5 ******* RX-7s, and four of them arent worth the dirt theyre sitting on.

I was planning on getting a Toyota 4x4 soon with the help of my parents so I wouldnt have to ride the CBR in the damn winter, but thats falling through, so now Im stuck with the CBR again, and I have NO money for anything because of all my debts. Its all such a huge problem I just feel buried...Again.

Basically, as much as I want this to be a high priority, its not. I have WAY too much other stuff to try and figure out first.

Dude, you've got passion. You're my heroe! (I would be somewhat careful when in court though, explaining your adventure. You do know that you butchered any and all tresspassing laws, right?)

Sorry to hear that TJ,

I know what your feeling, I allmost felt like giving up on the 7 when I couldnt get my fuel injection to work. Now that I have the carb, and the car works right, I'm glad as hell I stuck to it. I too had money problems with my car as well. It was really all worth it in the end.

Keep that chin up dude, you'll be more than glad you did one day. Not to knock you down or anything, but I know your plan is a turbo FB and all, but mabey now is not the time. Especially if fundage is a concern. Its better to have a running 7 than no 7 at all.

Ya could start out all over again with a running used longblock, then work your way back up. I talk to more people that say "I wish I still had that rx-7" than any other car. Stick with it man.

Yeah, lately Ive been giving a lot of thought to joining the Army actually. It seems like it would help me out in a lot of aspects of my life and obtaining some goals (IE - Police Officer). I passed the ASVAB test today in the 85th percentile... Thats good I guess cause the national average is like 45 or something, and the Army only requires 31, lol. Anyway, I passed well enough that they can send me off to be an MP officer which would eventually lead into local law enforcemtn with the state patrol hopefully. Anyway, its an interesting idea Im kicking around, plus Ill have a little money. Ill keep you all posted. I go in for a physical to make sure Im healthy or whatever next week I believe.

I heard law enforcement don't like ex-MPs because they're too rough and arrogant. YMMV of course. Just saying so you make sure. The physical is dumb, just takes a long time. Of course that is also when you SIGN so make sure (At least for me)!

Good luck with your cars. It will work out in the end, just stick with it.

PS Toyota trucks rock! Check out yotatech.com if you haven't already.

Well, just as an update, Im pretty sure Im doing the Army thing with my buddy. But, I had an awesome thought this morning out of no where. I will be getting paid to be in the Army (duh), but I will also be getting paid to be in basic training. See, thats cool because I will be living on a base for 4 months and getting paid, meaning I will have to pay for almost nothing for those 4 months with the Army feeding and housing me and all. So, when I get back after those 4 months Ill have a good deal of money saved up. According to my buddy we are getting around $1200 a month, so thats $4800 in theroy, but lets just say its less because of taxes and yadda yadda and I end up with like $4000. Well, thats still A LOT more than I have now, and guess what? Its ALL going towards my turbo project!! I will make a big amount of progress pretty quick. Im pretty excited about that. Also, when I get back I will be working here at home at a local Army base and getting paid as an MP, so that will most likely all go towards my project as well. Im still hoping that Ill have this thing done by Seven Stock 7, but I dont even know when it is, lol.
