Reconize a car by year (LSD inside)

Hi everyone
i found in France a 1982 Rx-7, and I want to keep it but just if it had the LSD.
The car is THIS.
This year car, was equipped with LSD? I know that GSL and GSL-SE had it, but from the 1983.. Before?
Thanks.

Well, I see a sunroof, which is an upgrade option. I can't see into the rear wheels and it does not have a GSL badge. Wish I could speak french?

The ad doesn't say.

LSD was available starting in '81. If it has rear disc brakes, it has LSD. If that car were a US model, it'd be either a GS or GSL, but I can't see enough from those pictures to say which, and for all I know the European market cars could have a completely different set of options. Best thing to do would be to just ask if it has rear discs.

Those tail lights look like the U.S. '84-'85.

I think I've read the same thing somewhere on Euro spec 7s.

Huh. If that's the case, I suppose you could always find a US or J-spec LSD, or swap in an MX-5 Torsen.

What do you mean? '81-85 tail lights are all the same part number.

if u have already bought the car, just get a jack and get both rear tires off the ground. with the tranny in neutral, turn one rear wheel by hand and watch the other. if the other wheel turns the same direction it's lsd.

Thanks for reply
This is a USA model, could reconize because it's without turning light in the front arc wheel and the rear plates downside. I read that rear disk / LSD present in the USA model, so you confirm?
I try to ask to the seller,
Thanks!

Yes, if it's a USA model, rear discs = LSD. Rear drums = open diff.
