FD Seats in an FB?

My original goal was black FD seats, and I have sat in them in a 1st gen. They are aweome, and they are smaller than stock.
Directfreak,
Any luck with your Recaros?

You mentioned FD seats earlier. Are these a direct fit, no modfications, into an FB?

Thanks!

I've read elsewhere that FD rails are completely different and an adapter kit or custom fabrication is required to bolt 'em in...

Yeah, I read that as well. I think it was in a thread about someone who was installing 2nd gen seats (practically a bolt-in) in his 1st gen, if I'm not mistaken. I have to agree with Manntis; those seats go really well with the car!

Somebody might have asked already but how much did you get those seats for? I'm looking for some seats that have the same feel as the stock 84's.

they came off of a 91 mpv v6, its the same damper but with 5/16ths hose ends. i think it might be JF01-20-180, but dont hold me to that
