RB streetport muffler=mazdatrix muffler?

I am looking for a replacement muffler for my RB streetport system. I could not get a hold of RB so I order from Mazdatrix. The muffler Mazdatrix sent me only has a single pipe. My RB streetport system muffler has a dual pipe to attatched to the presilencer. Does Mazdatrix make the same muffler for the RB exhaust system???? I am confused!!!

I am assuming you have the long primary (twin pipes all the way to the axle) system?

You need to get an '81-82 muffler, that is what is used for the long-primary system.

thanks for the reply. I looked into the mazdatrix website and the 81-82 muffler looks just like the muffler I have on my RB streetport system. I just want to make sure. Thanks....

you are smart to not go with pacesetter. RB is the best it gets anywhere, period!

Well, someone rearended me a month ago and one of the tips of my RB muffler was bent a little. I wanted my insurance to replace the muffler. I just have the body shop call mazdatrix and order the muffler to replace mine. They sent the muffler with the single pipe.(which is correct if I have the stock exhaust system or if I have the mazdatrix aftermarket race exhaust system) I did not realize that the RB streetport system uses a 81-82 dual pipe system. I just assumed they are the same. Well, lesson learned.

Pretty much *anything* at Mazdatrix that has a 5 digit part number, no letters, is a Racing Beat part. Prices generally are the same. I like dealing with Mazdatrix better though.

Yep. If it's a Racing Beat part that Mazdatrix carries, I buy it from Mazdatrix. If not, then I buy it from Racing Beat.
