RB rear sway bar issue

Trying to install a RB rear sway bar but i can't get the clamps that mount to the rear axle housing to fit. RB sent me knew bushings just in case i got the wrong ones but.......... How much tension are these clamps/bushings under? Is there a trick are process I'm missing?

I tried to use vise grips and channel locks but i just can't get the clamp to come allthe way up to nut on the axle housing.

Any ideas anybody?

I had alot of problems with mine, I actually had to take the endlinks off the bar when they were bolted onto the car, then bolt the bar to the axle. Just put the tabs in first then tighten the bolts, and use a hammer and tap the tabs in as you tighten. It was a pain for me, just takes patience and some creativity. Also try using a breaker bar. They arent that expensive, and help alot.

Thanks

I tried with the end links on and have since taken them off. I'll try the breaker bar and the tapping like you suggested. The tapping makes sence since i the small lip that hooks into the axle housing looks like it should be going in more. I recently sand blasted the entire axle housing and then painted it. it may be keeping that lip from sliding in as it should.

Thanks again

Finally got it.

I used a big *** c-clamp to squeze the metal clamp and that did it.

Thanks for the advise.

lol, I just remembered doing this on another car. I ended up using a scissors jack to press them up high enough to get the bolts started. Glad you got it!
