RB headers with Hooker Aerochamber muffler
I have a stock 12A and need to replace my entire exhaust system because it's falling apart.
I was considering an RB header, straight pipes, and feeding it into a Hooker Aerochamber muffler. According to the specs, the muffler is designed to reduce the high frequencies (hence no presilencers) and will give a deep throaty sound.
Has anyone tried these on a rotary? And what size inlet should I use..2", 2.2", or 3".
Thanks.

It will be loud. No single muffler only will quiet it down enough, except maybe a RB unit or potato.
Those mufflers I hear tend to rust out (hookers), also they are not fully SS exhaust, has some fiberglass in it.
All in all, will sound good for a few days at idle or first hard run.

I checked the specs on this muffler before hand, and didn't see anything with filler or fiberglass in this model.
From reading threads, I want to avoid anything that will melt, and should stick with a baffled muffler, or one with steel wool.
I figure it would be louder than stock, but since it specifically states that it's designed to reduce amplitude and high frequencies, I thought that it might be a decent appllication for a rotary.

Don't do it. I ran one one my car with 2 rb presielencers and a vortex cone. It did sound good but resonated in the car I had to wear ear plugs going down the interstate. You can search my threads to see my ex setup. If its not a chambered muffler it won't quite a rotary down

You can't go wrong with the rb setup. I loved mine when I had a 13b with a dellorto. When I switched to the 13b 4 port half bridge port. I went to a more free flowing setup. After the fact I wish I would have built a stret port and bought the rb street port ex setup. When I do drive my car I have about a 30 -40 min drive and noise gets old quick. look at your budget first and you may want to buy a piece at a time. Muffler, then header and mid pipe but also consider future plans. Most muffler manufactures don't have much advice on the rotary. I know this when I talked on the phone with bolra. They relly couldn't give me an answer on how much a xr1 would quite down my car
