RB Front Spring Install

Hey all. I have been in the process of putting tokiko blues and RB springs on my car. I am pretty much done but I am stuck on assembling the front. When I put the struts with the new springs on there seems to be a lot of play because the new springs are shorter. Did I assemble something wrong? Or will the springs compress under the load of the car.

I have a hard time believing the RB springs are shorter compared to the old factory ones. Did someone cut them? Generally, when folks replace the old springs with RB ones, it sits higher because the old ones are clapped out.

This is one of my front strut assemblies with an RB spring and a Tokico blue insert, I don't recall there being play in the setup.

double check no washers or the bearing fell off between the spring mount and strut top.

I have a pair of mystery springs that look similar to RB's and while they were short enough to install without compressing them I wouldn't say they were loose once the top nut was tightened.

He got the blues-springs and other items from me. Came off my 85 GS.
The springs were not cut.
Ensure you did not forget the washers I included.
