RB cat replacement install...help?

Oh wise ones of the REX forum....I call on you again for help. I got a RB cat replacement pipe for my 85 gs manual, emissions gone so no worries bout that. I have no instructions for it so I'm kinda lost. Does anyone know how to put one of these on or do you have the instructions you could give me?

Please if anyone has any kind of pics on this, post them, I am very much a visual person.

Installation Instructions
1981-1985
RX-7 Catalytic Converter Replacement Tube*
Part No. 16202, 16203, 16204, 16205
IMPORTANT: Before attempting to remove the catalytic converter, be sure the engine has not been run for at least four
(4) hours. The converter stays hot a considerable length of time after shutting off the engine. Not only is this a hazard to the
mechanic, but it encourages the nuts to seize on the converter studs.
Be sure to have a small quantity of light penetrating oil (spray or liquid) to apply to the catalytic converter studs and nuts to
reduce the chance that the nuts might seize .
1. Raise the car and place on jack stands.
2. Remove the heat shield under the catalytic converters, plus the shield just ahead and the shield just behind (if applicable).
3. Apply the penetrating oil to the large nuts on either end of the catalytic converters.
4. While waiting for the oil to penetrate, remove the small diameter tubes from the side of the converters. (NOTE: GSL-SE
only! The small tube which bolted onto the main catalytic converter must be retained to open the “six ports”. Skip instructions
5 & 6 if you have a GSL-SE.)
5. Remove the forward end of the larger tube (if there are two) from the intake manifold and slip the tube assembly off the
car. Install the cover plate included in this kit on the intake manifold.
6. Slip the smaller tube’s rubber hose (if so equipped) off of the valve on the intake manifold and remove it. Cap the intake
manifold first with the plastic cap, then push the rubber cap over the plastic.
7. Remove the four (4) nuts that attach the converters at either end. DO NOT PRY between the sealing surfaces. Push the
rear portion of the exhaust rearward to get clearance to remove the converters.
8. Install the replacement tube in place of the converters using the bolts, nuts, and lock washers supplied and the original
gaskets. Torque bolts to 45 ft/lb. (1984 and later catalytic converter rear bolts are 10mm, these should be torqued to 28
ft/lb).
9. GSL-SE only. Reinstall the small tube previously removed from the main converter onto the small tube extending from the
replacement tube.
10. Reinstall the heat shield(s) where possible.
NOTE: It is not necessary to remove to the air pump. If you wish to remove the air pump, we recommend that you also
remove the air control and check valve and cover the opening on the intake manifold with a cover plate. You should also plug
the air pump supply tube on the air filter housing.

Glad to know you got the replacement pipe OK. Did you get it installed, or need any more help?
