Rat's Nest, In need of help!

I'm on page 20 of the tutorial by Rx7Carl and Pratch and got confused. Does anyone have a pic of the "t" connection you had to make to the solenoid??? Is this a 4 way "t" or just a three way, the pic is kind of blocked in the walk through. I have one outlet to the solenoid, one to the first hole on the bottom of the carb as shown, but I don't see where the tubing on top of the solenoid goes to. nor do I see where the rest of the "t" goes to. I'd really appreciate some assistance.
Could I get a pic of the cruise control and the throttle opener please. I'm about to head off to my 6-10 academy class and would like to wrap the rest of this up tonight with the exception of the block off plate that I need for the funny metal Elbow. Also, could I get an explantation of the routing for the oil filler neck and oil line to the fire wall. Can I just plug the filler neck with a vacuum cap and plug the other line back into the firewall?

Its a 3 way tee. The hose from the carb base gets a tee in it before the AC throttle opener soleniod. Thats so you can use that same source to power the CC.

Carb-----------------t-----solenoid------throttle opener
1 l--------------------------cc

My graphic isint working. The line to the CC should come off one leg of the tee.

(the big round thing with a cable to the carb to operate the throttle in cc mode)

You can simply cap the funny elbow if you have a cap that big.

On the filler pipe you need some sort of crankcase venting or youll get rust in the oil fill pipe and the slimy "lung mustard" uner the cap. Look in the FAQ thread on other ways to handle this if you dont want to use the original stuff.

okay, I got it, thanks.....Now, my car is idling extremely low and rough...I'm getting a vid right now for you to see and hear if there are any potential problems besides maybe just a carb adjustment.

the vid was taken with my digital camera. You need quicktime to view though. Do you think this could be a timing issue? I can only get to one of my card needles, the other one has that stupid cap on it. Here is the video:

For those of you that tried the link, I'm sorry that it's a 55mb video though it's only about 3 minutes long.....When Idling, there are a lot of pops. There isn't a heavy gas smell, nor does my car flood on startup. I'm hoping for it to be timing. In the vid, all the zooming I'm doing is to show the vacuum holes under the carb are plugged, I show the shutter valve properly connected, solenoid hooked up, ACV plate installed, that rear runny elbow capped with the proper size cap. Then about 3-5 jet flames out the back. In the begining of the video you hear me talking to someone. He asked why all the idiot lights were on, I figured this was due to the low idle(around 250-400rpms). Then it eventually shut off. There is a sound on startup, I don't think it was from a slipping belt on the alt. It feels like the proper tension. I'd appreciate some feedback/pointers. I'm going to search the forum a little bit more on how to adjust the timing. <praying>Please let the rotor gods have mercy on my car and give me a free 12inch Camden Supercharger, lol....

edit:
My car is an 85 GSL with 680RWHP's "direct fire" setup. Before the whole swap/removal, the car ran fine and held an idle(although it idled around 5-600rpm)

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Re check all the stuff you capped in the tutorial.

followup, I had to advance the timing a little bit and the idle smoothed out. Now, it looks as though I have that California carb or whatever it's called(cap over the idle mixture screw). Is it true that the only way to adjust my idle(mine is at about 300 rpm) is to take off my carb and remove this cap?

I also have one more rats nest question. Well sort of. The engine breather tube on top of the engine, with the hose that goes to the firewall and I believe is supposed to go to the charcoal canister, can this be blocked off if I am still using the tube off of the filler neck. This is tied in as per the rats nest removal write up. This breather tube on the engine goes to the metal line on the firewall, but now just dead ends at atmosphere, as the hoses off the metal tubes on the passenger side and the charcoal canister are all off or gone. Just curious if this is a necessary breather tube or is it actually causing a problem, though must not be a running problem as it runs great now. Thanks in advance!!

Cheers,
Travis

Well, I got the car idle corrected(P.O. had the screw 12 turns the wrong way), there still seems to be some studdering when accelerating after waiting at a red light along with smoke(oil building up). I'm guessing that the OMP is putting out too much oil. I'll be testing it hopefully in the next day or so. Is it that difficult to block off the OMP, or should I go ahead and try rebuilding it just once. What's your opinion. I'm tired of driving the wife's Srt-4 and my Truck and the weather hasn't been motorcycle friendly lately, I wanna play in the car<evil grin>.

Any input would be appreciated as usual. I checked all the vac. lines. I'll snap some pics and show y'all how I'll done everything. I still don't think I have the oil filler tube hooked up right. I was able to keep the purge valve off the rat's nest, but I bought the mitsu. valve as the tutorial suggested just in case I'd have to use it. Can someone snap me a pic of the throttle opener that the hose on top of the solenoid is supposed to connect to? I think this is possibly something I missed.

Yeah, I did my removal according to that great write up. But, it doesn't show a pic of the throttle opener(that I can personally see) and I couldn't find it in my Haynes manual either. Myself and OnlyOnThurs can't seem to find it, and most of the other 7 owners I know in SA have 2nd and 3rd Gens. If anyone has a pic of the throttle opener that the manual refers to on page 20. I can see where I messed up the Purge Valve for the oil filler tube/3rd and 4th carb opening. I'll correct those. Just for some reason, I don't see the throttle opener. Thanks again for the referral DarthRotary.
