rats nest???
rats nest???
Ok, i'm prob going to get alot of smart *** comments from asking this question but it does not tell you what the rast nest is or what the point of removing it is in the FAQ, it only tells you how to remove it.....So what is it??? for the SE 13b
The rats nest is the emissions related solenoids and vacuum lines on the driver side on the engine. Removing it just cleans things up and reduces chances for vacuum leaks. For the GSL-SE, you can't really remove it without affecting driveability. I would just leave it in place.

The rat's nest also does more than emissions, depending on options.

Bottom line: removing the rats nest does not net any additional horsepower, but for a car that is operated as a race vehicle, or in a region that does not have air pollution laws, it can make working on the car and diagnosing problems much simpler. That's why I did it.
