Theres a free version to view. We only ask for a donation to get acess to the print friendly version.

Improvements- simplified engine for easier maitnenance. Also necessary to do this for upgrades like header exhaust, aftermarket induction. etc.

You don't need to remove the rats nest when you put on headers...

I'm going to be doing this sometime this week and my biggest question is what did you guys do with the wiring harness that has the connectors for the solenoids on it? Some of the connectors go over to the carb and the wire for the alternator is in there. If it weren't for them, I'm just strip it back and hide them in some nook of the engine bay... I don't really feel like letting the connectors laying on the top of the engine as that just screams to inspectors that there is supposed to be emissions stuff there. Any suggestions?

Sure, snip off the connectors and tape the harness with electrical tape. No one will ever know that there was anything there.
