I just sent one via UPS a few weeks back and it was ~$20 to ship. I had to buy a perfectly sized box and tons of bubble wrap, but it made the trip fine.
I have a spare '79 glass roof but it is missing some of the hardware. You may be able to make it work with existing parts, though I'm not 100% sure since I don't have a 79.
