Cool Radiator replacement option

So my radiator destroyed itself by coming unsoldered on 3 of the 4 mount points and a row of fins fell out.
Shopped around and decided to try this out,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem=

Aluminum has been my desire for a while and to get one for $253 shipped sounded like it was worth the risk.
I'll let you know how it goes.

Good luck.. from China? Hope it ends up being a good product. As for the lower radiator hose inlet, it looks like theirs is bent downwards, but in truth you need it to be bent upwards. You might have difficulties with the lower hose positioning because of where their inlet points the hose may interfere with the crossmember. The overall height/width looks to be okay, you will still need to fabricate a fan shroud and mount an e-fan, etc. Seems like it could be good buy though, be sure to let us know!

Nevermind, the lower inlet hose is angled correctly it's just the angle of his picture that threw me off. We purchased one as well to see how it is

I was going to say it sounds too good to be true. But then I checked his feedback and everything looks legit. Weird...

Let us all know. Notice how they say it fits 79-85......isn't that bullshit. I thought the car that has the beehive has a taller radiator.

Hey, I bought a Mazda RX-7 jacket from Thailand through eBay and not only was the seller legit, but the jacket is actually very well made and warm. Sometimes there are honest salesman in Asia. Not alot, but a few. You never know.

+1 on the jacket. also, i ordered a $300 cpu for my laptop from china, and it works great. tonnes cheaper than buying a slower one in US. anyway, should be pretty good, i wonder how much of a weight difference it would be.. if any.

BTW, my gf's parents are business people in china. they run a few factories. one, a boxing company. and another, a spring company. and they are honest people,

It does sound like a good deal. If it's a 3 row, then it's got to be the shoter style, which will work in 83-85.

Cool Radiator has arrived!

Ok, just got mine yesterday, pretty fast considering it's from China.
Packing was good except that the mounting ears got bent, I bent them back at Stilettoman's shop while I was over helping him with some other stuff.
Over all the radiator is great, nice welds, is the exact same size as the short 3 row RX-7 unit.
Note, one thing is they reversed the mounting ears, see how the holes are opposite of what the other one is? Easy to fix, just drill holes as needed, no big deal.
See pics,
I use FD cooling fans because they fit perfectly in the short radiator.
Anyway, here's some pix.

Slammed, how did you mount the E-Fan on the radiator? You didn't bolt it into the fins did you?

For now I'll be reusing the standard Efan mounting kit I used on the old rad, all nylon with foam isolators.

How exactly does that kit work in terms of mounting points?

It's designed to go through the fins inbetween the core rods (front to back). No tools required, no impact to the radiator as far as damage or function. Resuable as well.
