Radiator Recommendation ??
I was wondering if it would be a good idea to replace the radiator in my 84 GSL-SE. It seems like it is running quite hot, I have the holley 600cfm carb running on a rebuilt 13b.
I was also wondering if strut towers make any difference are they worth the 160 bucks ??

Before you blame the radiator, you might want to check the following....
Ignition timing (too far advanced will heat the engine, too far retarded will heat the exhaust.
Verify good exhaust flow (no clogged cats).
Make sure you are not running too rich or too lean.
Make sure that your thermostat is working correctly.
Make sure that your clutch fan is working properly.
Verify the temperature by sticking a small kitchen thermometer between the fins of the radiator (very carefully) to see exactly what temp your coolant is running at.
Might be a couple of things that I've missed, but this will give you a good starting point. Good luck!

I replaced my stock with one from Radiator Barn. It's a 3-row and I believe the stock was 2-row. It's keeps mine at about 1/4 to 1/3 on the gauge in 90 degree weather in city traffic.
It was about $130 shipped.

I noticed that there are 2 Griffen's that are very similar exept that the tube size on the cheaper one is 1" and the more expensive is 1 1/4"
Here's the second one:

Not pics of the radiator.. Pics of the installation.
I can always find a pic of a Mack truck radiator, Huge, aluminium, etc,,, but I'd never see it installed in an RX-7.
