Radiator mounting
ooookk. why would the car blow up? and i already explained why. i'm putting on a kick *** electric fan and it wont fit in the stock location. and i've seen other FB's with radiators mounted there.

Think about rocks being kicked up by semi trucks on the freeway. Hell of a way to kill a rotary because if a rock blew a hole in the radiator at those speeds you'd probably kill your motor before you even realized there was a problem. Sell that thing on Ebay and pick up a set of fans from an '80s MR2 instead. Nothing is easier to install than that one, and it kicks butt too. Otherwise, have you removed the big aluminum piece that the original fan bolted onto (spacer)? You can pick up shorter bolts that will let you get rid of that, and that'll get you another 2" or so.
well, i guess you have a point. but i dont have to worry about killing the rotary, check out my signature. lol. ok then, i know what i need to do, thanks all who replied with positive replies. mainly thanks to kentetsu. your right.

I've found that the 2nd gen MR2's use the same fans as the 1st gen MR2's except with upgraded motors.
I have a pair of each sitting around and they look identical except that my 2nd gen MR2 fans look much cleaner than my friend's 1st gen MR2 fans. He had to paint his. I won't. And I won't be hanging them on the radiator with "mechanic's wire" (Coat hanger) either. I'll be fabbing up an aluminium bracket.

Pele- If you have a stock 1st gen radiator then the mounting is pretty simple. The MR2 shroud has a little lip (or hook) at the top that will hang on the lip on your radiator giving it perfect alignment (item 1). Then you just drill two holes in the MR2 shroud to line up with the original shroud mounting points (item 2), using the original bolts to finish mounting it.
