Use some radiator internal wash stuff. First you drain the rad, flush it with water, then add the cleaner and run the engine for a breif period. Then flush again (untill the soap bubbles are gone hehe), and refill with the green stuff.

Ah...see I was going to just drain and fill with coolant for now...but I can't find a drain on the radiator.

Did a search, couple people said there's a plug on the engine, below and to the left of the oil filler. There's several bolts, hate to drain the wrong thing (trans fluid?!)

I can't figure out which bolt to undo.

Ok, took a picture.

4 things:

Red = oil pressure sensor? Wire is broken off. Assuming I can unscrew/replace this if I find a replacement. My gauge isn't working.

Yellow = ? Dunno wtf this hole is. HELP?!

Blue = coolant drain plug?
Green = coolant drain plug?

I have no idea! Blue is down and left of oil filler, green is down and right of oil filler. Green looks recently removed and replaced (clean, shiny) unlike the rest, which looks quite oily/greasy.

No way...not paying. I already ordered a $15 manual on CD, hopefully it's the right stuff (says it is) if not, I'm out $15. Live and learn.

blue is the engine coolant drain plug.
green is where the rear banjo bolt goes IF you have the oil to air cooler. obviously, you have the oil to water cooler.

I heard the cd is a POS, did you get it off of ebay? A guy on another thread warned against the scam. He said all it was, was a haynes manual scanned on the computer and burned onto a disc. SO if you got it off ebay, i bet it's the same thing. Sorry dude, let me know how it turns out, because a manual on CD would be pretty cool, but there ARE alot of scams out there.

like I said...$15 for it on CD is no worse than buying a Haynes in the store. $10+$5 shipping. I've bought 4 or 5 manuals already in the past for other cars, I'd rather have it on CD anyhow. Pages can't tear, get smeared, etc.

I did manage to find a shop manual for my MX-6 for about the same price from some bookstore clearing out inventory. They sell usually for $30+ so I was pretty happy.

Any idea what that yellow spot is? I looked up inside (with my camera, of course) and could see a gear in there. Doesn't seem to be threaded, so what could it be?

the yellow is just inside the bell housing. you can see either the fly wheel or drive plate depending on 5speed or auto.

red is not oil pressure sensor, the oil pressure sensor would be under the oil filter on the back side housing. mushroom looking thing.

lol, if red isn't oil pressure, what's the green dangling wire go to? It seems to fit right to that spot, so I assumed it goes there. So instead, it goes to the rear? Or does anyone know what the green dangling wire is now?

Thanks about the no oil in bellhousing thing. I just never saw up into one before. Kinda scary to drive a car around not knowing there was a hole there. Guess I'll...eh...plug it somehow.

The rubber plug in the bell housing is just so that a bunch of **** from the road doesn't go up into the area where the flywheel, clutch plate, etc... is located (i.e. the bell housing).

No oil is in there. You should have a rubber plug there though, otherwise I see your clucth failing sooner rather than later.

ne'ermind. Just needed a little more muscle and a screwdriver to coax it on. Still need that plug though.

Ok, fun times. Went to NAPA by my house, a large supercenter like NAPA with the computers down, a Discount Auto, 2 dealerships, and an AAMCO transmission shop.

Stores don't have them- dealer part.
Dealer doesn't have them- not available anymore.
AAMCO said they just toss them when they work on a transmission. Can't be good for warranties, now can it?

So I'm stuck with it now being a junkyard part. Unless I can get one off a parts car. I had it covered with electrical tape, but that fell off in the short drive to the local NAPA. Worried about our torrential rains we get ):
