Quick suspension question...

Does the red piece go that way, or do I have it upside down? I'm having a hard time getting the new bushing on either way, but hey, there you go.

Today's project... Getting the suspension back on the car:

Top pic is right. Where is the sleeve that goes over the bolt and the washer/cup for the lower bushing?

See you got the tank in. I'm suprised I made any sense this morning, went to bed about 7/a.

It's on the ground LOL

Yeah, I got it in, put some foam on top, too like you recommended. I'm mostly all set, other than needing to buy a new fuel pump while I'm down there. I just have to connect the watts linkage and put the swaybar linkage together, then the suspension is all done. Next up, calipers and fabricating a new heat shield for the muffler.

OK, so should I install the bar onto the ends, and then attach the bar to the rearend? I have it attached to the rear end now, and I'm having a bastard of a time getting it all hooked up.

Install the bar on the rear end, the links, loosely, on the braket, then the bracket on frame rail. Lower car to ground, all 4 wheels, then tighten links.

Everything on the rear suspension is together extremely loosely... I was wondering if I should tighten all of it on the ground or at least under load on my floor jack.

Floor jack under the rear end will work too. Make sure the body is level and all the weight is on the jack. Keep jack stands in place, just in case.

Try jacking the ends of the bar up until the endlinks meet it, the anti sway bar is meant to be under load.

you mean the endlink wasn't long enough?

I'm using the stock sway bar and some polyurethane end links from victoria british.

I figured it out. I removed the springs and shocks, jacked the hell out of the rearend, bolted the stuff into place, lowered the rearend, reinstalled the springs and shocks. All set.
