Quick question on removing the carb.

I am replacing my stock nikki with a rebuilt one i recently bought, however, they did not make the thing easy to remove. The two bolts on the passenger side were easy enough but the drivers side bolts are impossible to get at, especialy the rear one. Is there something else I have to take off to get at these things?

assuming that you have everything there, yeah it's a PITA to get those 2 bolts. Remove tha rats nest, permanently if you can.

If you have a spare open/closed end wrench, heat it up and bend the end like a ladle. Makes removal/install soooo much easier.

Yea, I've heard that a 12mm distributor wrench really helps. I've always managed to do it with a regular wrench, but the neighbors learn new words every time!

Good Luck,
Rich

Here's pics of one of these "ladles". Scroll to the bottom.

Thats a good idea, bending the wrench. I think I'll go out and buy a cheap one at the hardware store and bend it. Thanks!
