upgrades

ARe you running a header or just a cat replacement pipe? You stated that it is a 13b so i figure it is a se? The exhaust sytem is the best hp increase that you can make besides turbo charging. Unfortunetly the 2 best upgrades are not inexpensive, i being the complete rb exhaust unless you find a good used one and the lightened steel flywheel which does not add hp but reduces the amount of inertia or mass the engine has to turn therfore applying the readily available hp
better. An adapter for the end of your Air flow meter and kn filter are a good step
not laot of hp but allows it to breathe better. Upgrade the leading coil to the 2nd gen. Go to the faq section and sif t thru there, will give you an idea of what others have done, rx7doctor

We have a GSL-SE that is still using its FI system. it runs very well, mid 13 in the 1320.

I would go side-draft before Holley.

Mikuni 44Phh over weber/dellorto.

Use the racingbeat side-draft adaptor part number 18100
and the Fuel injector Plug Kit. 18147.

If you need assistance with Mikuni Jetting, let me know...
I actually have a complete Mikuni set-up for the GSL-SE I mentioned above. it will be on the car for rotary revolution.

Don't forget the little things, like Fuel pressure regulator (Mikunis need 2.84-5.5 PSI) switch from your FI high pressure pump, to a low pressure pump, believe it or not, the Advanced Autoparts store near me actually stocks the Old-school Facet Solid-state fuel pumps labeled under the puralator brand for liek $23.

Again, ask questions.

Please tell me how on Gods green earth you got a GSL-SE to run mid 13's with the stock fuel injection. I'm very interested on how you acomplished this. Good job by the way if its true.

Exclamation

I live in Md. and have to put the car through an emissions test every two years.Wouldn't changing to a better carb. setup make it more difficult or nearly impossible to pass the emissions test?Don't other states have emission tests also?Especially Pa.?

If you are in Atlanta, don't you have strict smog rules? I bought my GSL from a guy in Atlanta and he was PROUD of the low emissions from the tweaked Nikki and Bonez exhaust set-up.
(When I got it home I ripped the exhaust out in favor of a RB dual set-up. No emissions for me :P )
