Question about loose wire, please help.
I recently bought a 79 Rx7 and today while checking the fluids I found this.
I've been driving the car for about a week and this is the first time I've seen this. Its on the driver's side. I don't know if this makes a difference but the previous owner pulled the rat's nest.

I'm pretty sure thats the main harness connection to the transmission harness for
the high and overdrive switches. Its used by the ECU and the rats nest to modify the ignition
on SAs to help pass emissions. You would have to verify that with the electrical schematics to
be positive
So no, you don't need, or you can do what I do, and use it to cutoff the electric fans
when I'm in 4th or 5th gear
