Question quadrajet carb on a 12a?

i have this one quadrajet carb i had taken off my mom's boyfriends boat. this carb came off the 427 corvette engine that was pushing about 560 hp in it and i was wondering if there is a conversion for these carbs to be put on a 12a. i have tried to find out info on this but i failed, so i am going to ask you guys. any info is helpfull.
thanks.

it will work fine it you can tune it well, and tuning quadrajets is really annoying

Too much air flow is not always good. If it is from a 427 corvette engine, chances are that it flows more than 700 cfm, which is WAY too much for a 12A engine, or even a 13B engine, both with stockport.

im not really worried about the air flow cause i have a few restrictor plates laying around for the q-jet. i just need to know how it is done or hear from someone who has done it and what i might need to do it.
thanks

well, gotta get a manifold first. find out what base plate pattern it is. if it's the same as holley, edelbrock, etc. then you can get the rb manifold. or you could create your own adaptor to the stock 12a manifold.

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure what you would need to do. No one has ever used one on a rotary to my knowledge. There is a little info on Carter AFB usage, but I don't know how much of that will apply to the Quadrajet. Here is a link: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ight=Edelbrock

Carter and Edelbrock are the same, as are Rochester and Holley. You should be able to use a RB intake manifold, but beyond that, I'm not sure. No electrical connections are needed, and you might have to custom make some linkages. You also have to deal with the OMP issue.

Edelbrock carbs are very similar to Carter carbs, but Rochester = Holley!?! Their design is totally different. Rochester Q-Jets have very small primaries and large secondaries in a "spread bore" configuration. Holleys have similar sized primaries and secondaries with a "narrow bore" arrangement. About the only thing similar between the two is that they are both 4-barrel carburetors.
