Pulled over in the 7
Last Saturday night I was driving home from playing guitar/drums at a friend's house going maybe 5 mph at most over the speed limit, when a city cop pulls me over. Checks out my license & insurance kinda looks around at the car & tells me sice I'm 17 I'm out past curfew. (It's 7 min past curfew & I'm on my way home anyway) I tell him this & he proceeds to lecture me etc. Then, he tells me he'll let me off with a warning & to go straight home. I have a feeling he had to meet his quota or wanted to look at one of our fine cars. Anyone else have this problem? I'm going to the DMV tommorow to get my unrestricted license. A side note, he was trying to intimidate me by flashing his flashlight at me & getting in my face but the roof line was too low & he was too lazy to bend over & talk to me, so the whole time it looked like he was talking to my sunroof lol.

try this when youre pulled over, make sure that you pull over exactly on the white line, so that when said jackass police officer has pulled you over and comes up to the window he will be standing in the road (more chance that he willl get hit by a rubber-necking motorist and you will get out of whatever ticket he was planing on giving) The cop will prolly know that he is in danger coming up to to the driver side so you must make sure to tell them that the passenger side door/window doesn't work/open, just so he has to come over to the danger side errr...drivers side to get youre info that he despratly needs for his quota, when he asks for all your info (dl, insurace card, regestration) you have got to make sure to take at least ten mins to find it all (if youre schedule allows) as to waste their 'presious' time and also to leave the cop suspectible to the above described hit and run.

if you do that, I guarentee the cop will either a) sit in his car and tell you to keep driving and pull over more, or b) decide to do a felony stop on your dumb ***, order YOU out of the car from his, at gun point, and have YOU lie FACE DOWN on the GROUND behind your car. That way if anyone gets hit, its you. Cops get training in that sort of thing, trust me.
They can **** with you, worse than you could ever try and **** with them, once again, trust me on this one.

ive been pulled over about five times in my 7.. its a cops magnet i swear. i get radar guns shot at me when im going under the speed limit. i think its cuz my car sounds good and is red. hahaha.
and by the way, if ur under 18, tell the cop how your parents would do something outragious if u got a ticket, and that u had a long day at work in the factory. worked 3 out of the 5 times for me...

I feel old......maybe I look old too, cause I havent been messed with much at all, since back when I was a teen.
I only get pulled over about once every 2 years, and so far Ive deserved it every time.My car is very red, kinda loud and obviously attracts attention being heavily modified. This is a county known for having pretty tough cops, inclined to write tickets.Cops dont write tickets to be dicks, they do it because its their job and tickets help pay for the cities needs, like road repair,libraries,ect,ect......its buisness.
Being respectful is the key,and dont B.S. them if you know you did wrong.Thats not to say that you should admitt guilt, but C'mon....these guys and gals do this job all day and night, they've heard every excuse in the book 100 times.Im always straight with them, and I almost always get just a warning or nothing at all.
My younger brother drives a nearly stock FC and hes been ticketed and/or arrested numerous times. He also has a punk attitude and a chip on his shoulder...go figure.

About the white line trick... Ya... Grow up... If you get pulled over...be a man... you were doing something that breaks the law... Ill be honest... Someone that pulls over in a safe place...ASAP- I would be more willing to give someone a warning when they are not putting me in danger... For some reason everyone thinks that cops are out to get people with fast cars... No... We are out to get people with fast cars that are ....speeding....racing...drifting...
I race in SCCA... I also follow the laws...seriously people... the street is no place to screw around... Trust me... the last thing I want to do is have you pulled out of a car...dead or near death...
Anyway... Sorry you got pulled over...sorry he hassled you... Not all like that....

I've been pulled over twice in my rx7, once for that, and once for not switching lanes when a cop was on the side of the road. I would have, but there was a car on the other side of me and I couldn't slow down and definitely didn't want to speed up to pass it or get behind it. That time they actually searched my car and everything for some reason. All they had to say is, "There are only cds in here... there isn't even any trash on the floor."

Did you get a ticket?? Doubt it...
Come on people... Think about what your saying... You only look immature when you post things like this....
Now...if you got pulled over and you actually got a ticket for going 5 over the speed limit... ok..bitch...but seriously...if your bitching just for someone to say...oh ya.. man...cops are ********....F em.... Again.... I really dont want to go to your parents and have to explain to them that the car they bought you with 200+ hp...ya...you are wrapped around a tree.... Just doing my job... Honestly have better things to do rather than pull you over and worry about getting hit by another car.... being shot at....writing a ticket...calling in your insurance...blah blah blah blah blah blah....
Are yall getting my point about getting pulled over....Are you getting sick of it... ??
Now you know how I feel...

When people complain about speeding tickets, that is lame, you where obviously breaking the law.
But the times you can complain is when you get pulled over for no front plates, trivial stuff like that. I had a cop pull me over to tell me I changed lanes, on a deserted road, on a solid white line, both lanes in the same directions, I think he seriously just had nothing to do.
On the other hand a guy I know is PD and he is cool. Has a 20 valve AE86, a Turbo MR2 powered celica, and a 1st gen DSM, he goes and goofs around, races, and does many illegal and legal car things with me and my other buddies.
Cops are normal people with badges, there are jackasses and cool guys.

Some food for thought, if we did not have law enforecement, more than likely we would be back in the stoneage, still carrying clubs. Would you like to live in a world like that?

I recently got stopped while driving my 7. I have no idea why I got stopped. (sarcasm) I was only running 61 in a 45MPH construction zone. The fact that I was given a warning surprised me. The fact the trooper did not even mention that my commercial drivers license was expired really shocked me, considering the dispatch plainly stated that it was expired.
Seriously guys, I was guilty as hell, and didn't even attempt to talk my way outta it. I admitted that I simply did not pay attention to the speedo, until I was right up on the work zone.
The trooper that stopped me was just doing his job, and I deserved to get stopped. I actually deserved to get a huge fine for exceeding the posted limit, which is automaticly doubled in a work zone. I even deserved to get a ticket for driving with an expired license.
Attitude and demeanor are the keys to having an officer treat you with respect. Show them respect, and they will usually return the favor. Act like a pissed off punkass kid, and they will treat you accordingly. I not only pulled over at the first safe area, but I even turned on the dome light, since there weren't any lights working in that area, and I have tinted windows. It's the little things that can make a HUGE difference in the outcome of an encounter with an officer.

That white line idea is just ******* stupid. When I get pulled over for whatever reason I pull over asap and as much as possible to give the officer plenty of room. I am always polite to the officer and NEVER raise my voice to them. The last time I was pulled over there was about 2 feet of snow off the highway piled up. I pulled over to the right as much as possible. To my surprise the officer trudged thru the 2 feet of snow to come to my passenger window... I told him I was sorry and that I had pulled over all the way so he didn't have to do that. Got a ticket.
Also, I have had a cop yell at me for no reason and threaten to give me a sobriety test which I immediatley said "no problem" too, then was never given any test whatsoever I was 100% sober too just on my way home from my GFs moms house on mothers day. Got a ticket, go figure.
I have NEVER had a cop give me a break. Just about everyone I know gets out of tickets, but I always get the shaft.

I seriously don't understand the heartburn a lot of people have with cops. Yea, some can be dicks, but where can you go and not find a few dicks? The bottom line for me is, I know they have a job to do, they are there for our safety, and I definitely would not want to have their job, and have to put up with dicks thinking they are tough guys and thinking it would be funny to screw around with the cop. When I was a kid, I was taught to respect cops...I'm not sure why, but it seems like every generation has less and less respect.
