Hahah.... beautiful.... I think thats the first time I've ever heard a law major repeat themselves for more emphasis....
...sorry bud, but the real world doesn't work the way they teach it to you in school...

Hell, as a law major, you should understand that it doesn't matter whether something exists or not, it matters whether you can prove it in court...

A quota does not necessarily exist as an official policy, but it does exist. You had better believe that the superior officers are aware of how many tickets each of their subordinate officers are writing.... now what do YOU think happens when one of them falls significantly behind the rest? huh?

...the real world sucks...

quota's do exsist. the higher ups in the departments do have a clue hom many tickets and fines that their officers give out and the cheif's watch it like a hawk. If someone is working a bunch of hours and doesn't have many tickets or fines given out to show for the hours their superior will have a talk with them and tell the officer to make a point of giving out more tickets and fines, thats just the way it is with almost anyline of work. They are tecknicly not called 'quotas' because in the courts it could be considered entrapment and it would cause a whole nother set of issues but the way they go about it is exactly like how a quota functions.

I'm not sure if they officially exist anymore, but I know they used to, and at least unofficially, they still do. I play golf with an Iowa state patrolman, and he tells me that yes, in fact they used to exist, but not officially these days.

And being a law major does not make you an expert on the way things really are...

I don't understand that... ive noticed cops did that to me for a while when i had a diffrent car... every cop the pulled me over would say "Ive heard of you before or haven't i pulled you over before"... Don't get me wrong my best friend is a cop and they are normal people... but i just don't understand how every cop that has pulled me over knows of me.

Ok, look there is not a quata. Maybe some days they are just stricter with the law. I hate all thses posts when people bich about "I was only doing 10 mph over the limit and I did not have my front plate on". "There such ******** for pulling me over", come on guys get a life. If you break the law, deal with it.

you know what else can be viewed as entrapment? when cops hide behind a bush waiting for someone to speed. but why can they do it ? They may not offically have it but just because it isn t supposed to happen doesn t mean that s how it is. Don t tell me it doesn t exist when everyone starts getting pulled over at the end of the month. Don t give me that it s illegal crap. Not trying to be an *** but its true how the world works.

I was going to join in on the whole "is there a quota" debate, but honestly - does it really even matter in the least? If you get pulled over then you get pulled over regardless of whether or not you are a means to meet a quota. If you don't want to get pulled over then don't break the law. It is simply that easy.
