Seriously though, don't give up on the GS.
You've put a buttload of work, time and money into that car and it's so much closer to being done than you realize.
Suspension is a bitch, almost made me want to throw in the towel too. Just do everything else, and have it towed to a mechanic. I know it seems like a sin to have someone else work on your car, but the trouble it saved me is worth every penny I paid my mechanic to take over that headache of the project.
Don't switch projects midway through. When you run into problems on the -SE it's going to make you even more frustrated and you *still* won't have an FB you can drive. Honestly, what's left to do on the GS? List it out, tackle it bit by bit. Take a break if you need to. Take a month off the GS, come back with a fresh perspective.
And *don't* go buying a car with more bin rust. You'll kick yourself later.
Jon
Edit: It took me 4 years and $6k to get my project to where it is now. I could never sell it for that much, and there were many times I asked myself why the fork I was doing it. I stuck with it, and I'm glad I did. If you wanna do an -SE turbo monster, do it later.. finish the GS first. You can make the 2nd gens into turbo beasts if you want later.

Yea I agree, I was gonna type out something similar trying to talk him out of it, but it sounds like his mind is set, although I agree its the totally wrong decision to quit now.

Honestly, between the girlfriend and the car, which one do I still have after 5 years.
I'll give you a hint, I just installed RB SP exhaust.
Quitting is no option in my world, lol.
