Progress pic on rx7.

Well I fixed the big dent and shaved the rear turn signals

http://photos-732.ak.facebook.com/ip...18732_6485.jpg

I am making big progress in the month I have owned this car. It should be fully prepped for paint by thanksgiving. The car had been spray painted in several spots before and not in others, so Im unsure weather to sand all the way to metal or simpy the original paint, it varys so much its hard to tell where its got several layes of paint and where it has barely any.

Im considering filling in the bolt holes for the door vents and leaving it open for a more agressive look, are there any grills within there to prevent animals from getting insidE?

Working on where car had hit it

Here is a good view of the dent before I fixed it, and it was all bondo so I had to remove it and pull the dent out, of course I had to put bondo on top again but it was half of what it was before.

My taillights are like brand new, but i'm keeping them. What color are going to paint the 7? I broke two bolts from my taillights to take them off by overtightening them. Can i get new bolts to hold the nut or would i have to get a new tailight?

Which door vents are you refering too? The ones on the B pillar by the rear 1/4 glass? Those are the exits for the sunroof drains for the 2 rear drain tubes.

I know I have them. I just wanted to leave them off and fill the bolt holes for a more agressive look. I was just wondering mostly if leaving the grill things off had any negative effects.

Looks good, kinda reminds me of what my project looks like right now, and what my other car looked like a year ago.

To do a proper job on the paint, you should have removed the door hancles, locks, tail lights, turn signals and masked off the plastic surrounds on the headlights. Other than that, looks very good.

^ These pictures are after I put the trim back on. I put it in primer to prevent any rust while it sits and I prep it for turbo for a few months. Ill paint it when all the engine work is done.

I took off the taillights, the headlight surround, the fenders (to paint the frame), the turnsignals and left the handles cause I wanted them to be the same color as the car.
