Progress of my car: Haltech E6K

I have been busy this summer. I finally got my Haltech wired up and running. Now all I need to do is tune The install for the most part was easy. Finding the right size taps for the tempiture senders was a different story. Anyway, I'm working on a full write up on the install. So far the car runs so much better. I'm hoping for low 14's and maybe a high 13 The MSN site below has some pictures of the install on it. I hope to update the real web site soon. Also if you have any questions about the install give me a shout. You can also join the MSN site and post a message.

Nice Job Paul. I am not crazy about the red wiring looms though. As to the 13's, you either gonna need some gears, or a port job to get there. Stock ports won't make it.

You've gotten this far, pretty soon, you're gonna get the bug..

BOOST.

Directfreak,

Yes the wire looms are a love it, hate it thing. And I don't really love it Anyway, I should be able to get 170rwhp (dyno jet). On a good day and if I learn how to drive I think I might be able to pull off a 13. Max7 has got a mid 14 from his -SE. I'm trying to have Steve Kan tune it this Aug. at the Midwest Rotary Rally. And yes the Boost bug has been trying to bite me for a couple of years now. That's the reason for the Haltech

I look forward to seeing your write up. Your site is one of, if not the best on the web showing the 13b swap.

Just out of curiosity, what changed in the characteristics of the car when you switched to the Haltech? I'm installing an F10 in my '90 engine (in an 82 chassis) but keeping the 12a distributor and am interested in the benefits that you've seen.

Thanks for the compliments Well it's hard to say right now because it's not tuned. But so far I have noticed that it starts much faster, idle is rock solid. It feels like it has more power. Also it will make the turbo install easier. And I like trying to squeeze every drop of power I can.

I have the write up finished Go to the MSN page and go to documents it's under "Story of my car".

He has one oil pressure gauge, and two oil temp gauges. One before and one after the oil cooler. As it says on the site .

Ok It's not that "high tech" but it is expensive. It's a LCD sceen Ham Raido aka: Amateur Raido. It also will display any video signal as well, like from a VCR or DVD

Thanks RotorMotorDriver anwsering that for me.

Man, you've got to be the first instance of ham radio in an RX-7 that I've seen....
It's tempting to install a radio in there, but I've been holding out.... =)

Nice job with the pics (and the install too, I suppose.... =P )
