Problems with my 1979 Mazda RX7
My car has well over 150 kilometers on it and has performed well for me for the 13 years I have owned it. However, I do experience a hesitation in the lower engine speeds. In India, there really aren not any specialty automotive repair businesses and most citizens usually resort to maintaining their own vehicles. I do not know if anyone might have a suggestion for me as to what I might do to improve low engine response.

Your problem could be due to multiple reasons. What have you done so far to try and get rid of it?

Have you upgraded the distributor to a electronic ignition
distributor one yet? It helped smooth out my '79.

Start with the basics, two of which are the Factory Service Manual and the carb manual. Click on the following link to download the online manuals.

If you haven't performed the 60k miles service regimen, that would be a good place to start. Download whatever you need and start reading.
