problems with Eng. Sus. front end link kit with ST sway bar
ok. i got my energy suspension front end link kit from respeed and i went to install it yesterday. i thought the kit should be a direct bolt and go, but i couldnt get it to work. it acted as though the bolt was too short or something. the sway bar is at a bad angle though. one thing i have just thought about today but i havent been able to go back and check is that the car is currently up on 4 jack stands. the control arms are hanging. could that be my problem. do i need to raise the control arm and try again? any input?

I have had this problem on an Aussie Commodore ended up using a jack to raise the sway bar arms, but it stripped the endlinks when it got used under pressure (ie: hard driving through the mountains), ended up having to get bigger and longer endlinks.
Not sure if this helps you though.

thats what i figured. the fact the arm was hanging didnt hit me until i had already left the shop and i felt dumb. i figured i might as well ask though. i think ill go tomorrow and get the bolt started and then tighten it when i lower the car, hopefully this weekend. thanks guys. i knew i could count on you knowledge-filled folks
