problems with Eng. Sus. front end link kit with ST sway bar

ok. i got my energy suspension front end link kit from respeed and i went to install it yesterday. i thought the kit should be a direct bolt and go, but i couldnt get it to work. it acted as though the bolt was too short or something. the sway bar is at a bad angle though. one thing i have just thought about today but i havent been able to go back and check is that the car is currently up on 4 jack stands. the control arms are hanging. could that be my problem. do i need to raise the control arm and try again? any input?

I have had this problem on an Aussie Commodore ended up using a jack to raise the sway bar arms, but it stripped the endlinks when it got used under pressure (ie: hard driving through the mountains), ended up having to get bigger and longer endlinks.

Not sure if this helps you though.

If you can get the links started, leave them until it's on the ground before tightening.

Yeah, you can jack the control arm up until things line up...
