Problems Electric hatch Release

Has anyone else had trouble with the rear hatch release.
it seems as if not enough power is getting to the electric release motor any ideas???

Any help would be great

Have you tried cleaning / lubricating the latch mechanism?

yeah i have

i have 2 of the motors lubricated them both still not luck
i am thinking it could be the switch but i don't know how to remove the panel to get at it.

occasionally
sometimes it may start louder but eventually quieter until it will not make a sound at all

sounds like maybe a bad ground or other electrical malfunction, could also be the latch is binding mine is also doing the same thing it started yesterday i just havent got around to it yet.

Mine was binding when I got my car. Just started poking around back there with the trim piece off, now it works just fine.

old grease

You might try cleaning all the old grease out of the gear train then re greaseing with white lithium grease. worked wonders on mine.
