Availability of FA/FB parts

Fellas,
I heard last year that Mazda stopped supporting 1980 and earlier engine internal parts. What is the status for all of the other 1st gen parts? Are they still making rotor housings and such for the 81 to 85 cars?
Thanks,
Peacedog

I think they quit making 12A stuff but since the 13B is common as well, it keeps on rollin. Might be wrong. 12A housings new are not available-i know that for a fact.

Many many parts are NLA. Occasionally some NOS parts come up, depends on what one needs. If there is anything you need, this forum is probably the best place to start your search.

Thanks for the info. I checked the Mazda Comp web page and they still list rotor housings for the 81-85 cars as available as well as a competition 12A housing. Maybe they still do a very limited production run for their racing support program or are just selling the remaining stock to racers.

You beat me to it Peacedog94. I order alot of items from the same Mazda competition website so there is some new oem parts out there for us but they are not cheap. I also always keep a look out on Evilbay to see if somebody have any parts in their garages or basements for sale. Since 2003 I have been stockpiling parts for my project.

I had to get mine for my SA thru a friend in Belgium. Ended up with european-spec SA housings and USA-spec end plates because the USA hsgs were out of production. He had to order the housings from Japan, since there were none in europe. Helps he works for the Mazda Parts center for Europe...
Paid $800 for the pieces. 'course, I gotta get them back HERE yet

The guy I've talked with at my Mazda dealer said that depending on what your looking for he can find it somewhere and have it shipped in.

It might also depend on how hard the people in your parts department are willing to work.
