Never heard of such a thing.

Hey 13b guys, how much cutting & splicing is there anyway? From what I understand not much.

Well that all depends on what you are planning to do...
Let's say you'd go for a RX4 or RX5 13B, or even a later one, but use carb, then there won't be too much wiring problems. But if you go EFI... Right now I'm just taking a break, the wires are going over my head... The whole floor is full of FC harness, and I'm trying to find out what's needed, and what's not...
I need a cup of coffee right now...

I kinda cheated with my 13b, I installed a Haltech E6k at that time... If you gonna drop one in stock, you better know how to wire something, and I dont mean 1/2 ***. You better have a firm grip on Fuel Injection, and necessary components, plus how to adequately install wiring in a car and terminate it properly... Plus you better have some really really good wiring diagrams...

He probable wanted something he could hook up the 13B to, and get into his car at the other end. A GSL-SE harness might be a little complicated, yes?

Everything hinges on two questions:

1) What year is your 1st gen?

2) Which 13b? A) pre-RX-7 13b, B) 84/85 GSL-SE 13b C) 86-88 N/A or Turbo 13b D) 89-92 N/A or Turbo 13b E) 93-up twin turbo 13b-rew

The simplest swap is putting a GSL-SE 13b into any 84/85 12a RX-7, as I have been led to believe that the wiring harness are the same.
The hardest swap would be the twin-turbo, for about 10,000 reasons.

Once again, I've never heard of pre-made harness for RX-7 motor swaps. These aren't Hondas, VWs, or Nissans that have a huge rice-racer crowd so companies who make wiring swap shortcuts for them, these are cult-following older sports cars that require a bit of custom crafting to perform such serious mods.

I could tell anyone making a harness w/out having any diagrams in front of me.... There are three plugs on the second gen computer. Two of them are to be totally left alone because they manage your motor, (engine harness). The other plug, I believe is on the left. It cuts across under the dash of the 2nd gen. instead of through the passanger firewall. The reason for needing this plug is to pick up signal from the crankangle sensor to the computer and send a signal back to the coils.

Yeah, nice enough... Only MY FC is european spec, and doesn't have the same ECU... So I end up with a basicly Fuel-only computer (still dizzy's on NA FC's till 88), and stuff like useless emission-controls. So now I'm deleting the pollutionstuff, and try to see what is what...
