Powersteering or Now powersteering!?!?!

I have powersteering in my car right now. I want to take it out but I don't know what exactly I have to take out. Does anybody have pics that show what it looks like with out powersteering so I can see the difference. Do I just take off the power steering pump? The engine is pulled so I can prepping it for paint. Can anybody help?

everything has to come out inculding pump, lines, p/s fluid cooler. thats what i did to mine. now for the steering box, I cut the p/s lines end fitting and a attached a hose to both ends as a breather.

from what i've read from previous threads, empty all the fuilds, and just hook up both input and output with a hose together ... they also said that this better than converting to a whole manual steering rack

Got a link to that thread? empty all the fluids...

P/S box is better than manual (I own a GSL and non-GSL)

The lines go from the power steering pump and resivoir to the gearbox attached to the chassis. There's only 2 lines coming out the the pump/resivoir. Take those off.

Just buy another 7 without PS. (This is the optimal solution to most RX-7 quandries, since they are inexpensive) Then, on those days when you feel lazy and need to just run down to the shop to pickup a sixpack you can use the PS car, and on days when you want to attack the esses in your fave country road you use the non-PS version. Capeche? How much better can life get?
