Single Turbo FD with or without AC,and powersteering??

I just want to get pros and cons with removing AC and powersteering. There are some cons that I know already. Like hot summers with no AC!!! etc.

I removed my power steering and left the A/C on. Don't miss the power steering. I use a CWR power steering bypass loop and the rack is full with power steering fluid (damper).

Leave the a/c. p/s is a toss up. Its easier to change plugs and that type of stuff without it though.

on my FC I removed both with no regrets.

The car is MUCH better to work on. Living in Michigan, I only miss the A/C about 3 days out of the year. It is a nice aid in defrosting though.

ps is not missed one bit. You really can't tell it's not power steering unless you are at a dead stop and try to turn the wheel.

I never used a/c even here in texas. I did leave the
ps because I did not like the increased steering
effort without it.

I have both, but Florida gets so freaking hot! I almost always drive with the windows down even when it's hot, but sometimes I need the A/C! I would be curious to feel how much stronger the car would feel without both...

ditch em both, PS is damn near no difference. A/c i guess will depend on your location, color of car, and what time of day you drive the car.
In illinios maybe 2 weeks out the summer are really horrible without A/c, but night time driving it fine! My car is black,,, letting it sit the sun is a bad idea!
Working room in the engine bay is great too!

No A/C here. Contemplating taking off P/S, what do you have to bypass to take it off?

going Ls1 in my FD, no A/c or PS for me!! its been proven that the ls1 weighs less in the front end than a stock rotary setup,,, so it wil be even easier. That 20b with no PS has to be on a difficult side, those engines wiegh damn near 600lbs!

wow, thats quite an extensive sig

"Front/rear caliper painted Red"

:-P

Its a convience factor for you, do you like the steering and a/c or can you live without them. Its like asking should I get 18" wheels or 17" wheels....

I ditched mine. Though I feel I may regret taking out the A/C... I can always put it back in. Not like I'm not used to "down-time". I replaced my rack with a manual FC rack...

You can use the stock steering rack. There is some modifying that I'm not familiar with.. I had a FC rack handy so I just swapped them.. The AC is pretty much straight forward. Discharge it and take it out. The PS and AC are on the same bracket, so that's why many people remove both. I actually was thinking about making a custom bracket to retain A/C while removing the P/S.

If you search for P/S removal in the 3rd generation section you'll find what you are looking for!
