Power Windows HELP

ok guys ive got an 83 LE and my powerwindows dont work, the car was bought with no switches. i picked some up and put them in and it doesnt run, i noticed im missing a wire from the plugin. The wire is pure black, not the blue and black one but the one above it. ive already checked the motors and they work fine, i can roll them up and down with a battery.
What i need your help with is were does this wire go? ive looked on other cars and seen it but cant figure out were it goes. if someone could tell me that would be great.

Hmmm, I think a wiring diagram might help you out a lot. Try www.iluvmyrx7.com . They have tons of wiring diagrams on there.

i think that the wire that you're missing is the ground wire and its prob the most crucial. to try it out you can take a long piece of wire, hook it where its suppose to go in that connector, and then touch the other end to the body of the car somewhere. then try it out like that. If that works, then all you need is to tap into another black wire anywhere inthe car and you'llf be good to go.

PS: So i guess you won't be needing those motors after all.

nope dont need them, just tested them. but i already thought about that, i touch it to the body and it starts shooting massive sparks like its connected to the battery.

Get a multi meter so that does not happen. Never trust anything until you test it yourself.

well i tested it with my multi tester and it told me it had power but i was thinking maybe it does it for a reason, so i placed it in and just tapped it to the body, nothing horrible. i knew it was commin.
