Power window/door conversion

I have since nice power window door panels that I want to put on my 85 S model. Right now it has the checkered style door panels that have manual window crank. I bought some power door lock motors a while ago that I think I can use but I still need something for the windows. Tried searching around the forum found a few things just wanted to see others input. Wheres a good place to buy power window conversion kit that works well with an FB? Going to try and get this done before SSXI!

I have the replacement piece that goes in the center of the dash near the shift boot that has the switches and all. Not sure what you mean by a 5 letter.

There is regulators with motors for left and right side on ebay:

Not too hard, no. I converted my 80 for power windows, and that meant having to harness it and place switches from scratch (80 had no power window option).

The wiring you need may actually already be in place; I don't know about the 85's, but on many cars, the same harness is used in all of them, and just not connected when the option is not installed.

Any of you later year guys can advise on that?

Alright well I'm going to be purchasing the following from a member on the forum:

"The only harnessing I can send, without sending the entire harness from the car, is the complete part, including connectors, that goes from each door to the inside of the car. At that point, the harnesses wraps up in the entire main wiring and joins in a multi-pin connector, with more than the four wires needed for the motors, in the center of the car. That said, I would venture you could make the external circuit work easily enough with some aftermarket relays and connectors and making your own wiring from your switches to the harness I will provide for you."

Once I get everything in I will have my buddy help me out and try and get it all working. Hopefully all goes well! Any help or installation guides would be appreciated.

It should be as easy as following the fsm wiring diagram of any model with power windows. Integrate it into the factory harness. Of the few rx7 ive seen the only ones with the wiring there are the ones with the powerwindows. There are 4 wires and the guage wiring is larger than the rest as the motors draw some pretty decent amps
