Power steering and wiring questions
The power steering gear housing has two holes for the fluid to flow through. What size fitting do I need for those holes? The original hose part numbers are FA55-32-520 and FA55-32-530. I got those from the parts diagrams, but I can't seem to find any more information about those parts. I saw somewhere that the power steering pressure hose has a 14mm male inverted fitting, but I'm not sure if that is correct.
This is for a 1983 model. It's not stock, so some of these connectors may not be necessary any more.
I have no idea what item #1 in the first picture is. Could someone help me out with that?
Does anyone know what item #6 connects to? I've looked at wiring diagrams, but I'm still a bit confused. Another connector that is in the same bundles as #6 connects to the back of the alternator.
I am not sure what items #2, 3, 4, and 5 connect to in the second picture.
#2 has a black/yellow cable.
#3 has a green/black cable.
#4 has a black/white with red dots cable.
#5 has a yellow/brown cable.
They all come from the X-01 connector, which is one of the main connects that comes out of the firewall, you can see it with a blue label in the second picture.
Any help figuring these things out would be greatly appreciated.

#1 is a capacitor
There are two on my car. One is on the disty, and other one is mounted by the top inspection plate at the rear of the engine.
Not sure about the other connectors, because mine is fuel injected and I have different connectors and I think wire colors are different.
Although I have similar connectors as the ones in your second pic, and they kind of dangle by the transmission, I haven't hooked them up. I think #2 might be for the coolant temp sender, but don't quote me on that.
Also I measured thread diameter on the the P/S fittings, and 520 measures about 13 mm thread, and 530 measures about 15 mm.
BTW, I'm not using my P/S anymore, if you need those parts.
