Angry Power Steering Suckage

I needed to replace my leaking power steering pump, because I couldn't pass inspection with the leak. (California **** test) So yesterday I havw the mechanic install the new pump. (remanufactured) All goes well, car passes test. On the trip home, at 80 mph on the freewaythe car starts streaming white smoke.........

By the time I pull over the engine bay is covered in power steering fluid and the drive shaft of the new pump has sheared off - the pulley is missing........

So, I'm going to get the pump replaced from where I bought it, but I need a new power steering pulley. I know a bunch of people have removed their power steering - anyone want to sell me a pulley cheap?

Consider it

Seriously consider removing the PS. You keep the same gearbox. Steering efforts are not a problem. I've had no issues since doing so and appreciate the improved engine accessibility, weight reduction, and maintenance elimination.
