Power steering pump 1984GSL lets see if it works.

I have tooken my powersteering pump off because it does not work.


I have gotton a new powersteering pump. well used....
the guy who sold the car said he was gonna put it on but he sold the car to us.

so here I am prey-ing that the pump i am puting in will work,


How do you test if it works or anything like that before I go to the trouble of putting it on....


I dont want any flamers of the powersteering pump. heard too many people say they threw it away. im not throwing mine away!!

It's a crap shoot. Put the pump on, it works or it doesn't. If it doesn't, the next one will be easier to install.

lol I know on a 350 motor its right there in the front. did that in 5 minutes at my step dads.

this one I had to take airconditioning off. belts off(well thats natural) but just a hole bunch more crap that you need to do.

Not as hard as it looks once you get it down. The ac is loosened moved out of the way and tied off. The hardest part is snaking the pump out and in without unbolting the mounting bracket.

the dang powersteering pump

This friken thing ...



this powersteering pump I have,


the hose isnt long enough, I dont know if there isnt a certain pump for a certain year. it bolts on and everything , I got one of the hoses and I got it bolted onto the black thing.



does anybody know where I can get a longer hose.


its a 12A engine power steering pump.
