My Recent Upgrades and Mods

Well i showed a while back my carb hat, which was not finished. Well i now have it done and installed. You can really hear it suck through that 4 inch ducting, and that huge K&N. Well the other day i was installing my new fan and slipped and put a hole through the radiator, so i had to get a new one. I finally have gotten it all back together and wired the fan on a thermostat relay. Well here are some pics of the carb hat and new electric fan. Robert

PS the first 2 are of the new electric fan, the next 2 are of the carb hat and the last one is just a over view

i plan on cutting some louvers in the radiator sheet metal as well as under the light to allow cold air to hit the filter better. and if i dyno it i will probably put a fan infront to simulate the air flow, i might dyno it this summer.

All you need now is the rotary oil cap to match the card hat.

i made the carb hat at work, i made it for my co-op project. I work in a machine shop and i dont have enough credits so my school is having me do a co-op with my current company. Yeah i am thinking of making a oil cap too to match the hat. I machined the carb hat out of solid aluminum and the duct work is 4.5 inch OD and 4.25 ID. its beefy to say the least. Yes that is a new radiator i put a hole through the other, and it only have a few thousand miles on it, oh well **** happens. As far as the thing in the top radiator hose its a water temp manifold. it splices in the hose and its machined to fit and allow maxium flow and also has a drill and tapped hole for a mechanical water temp sender. Works great i also made some that go in the heater hose. robert
