Power steering. Good? Bad?

I just bought my first GSL-SE, and it has power steering installed.
I've heard that power steering can affect the feel of the road, by putting something between you and the... pavement. (maybe I could word that better)

I just want to know if I'm really going to notice much loss in control. Or feel.

In my search I found that removing the pump makes the steering loose, so I'd rather not do that.

End.

Leave it for now. You'll be able to see if you like it or not. Mine in my GSL is ok. Its not an overpowering p/s unit. The ratio of the box is quicker than the manual unit too.

PVC,

I have an SE with and one without PS. I prefer the PS. I've done the steering box mod on the non-PS unit. The steering in the car is EXTREMELY tight. Absolutely almost zero play in the wheel.

But...
The one w/PS drives SO much easier. I can feel the road, and it's not a constant fight to park.

My opinion, most others differ...

Thanks guys, that's nice to hear. I didn't want to mess with it.

Now how do I find out if this is the smart PS. The one that adjusts itself according to the speed. Not sure what it's called but I heard it was an option on the SE's.

I have PS in my GSL, whenever I drive a friends unPS'd GS the first thing I notice is that the steering seems to be broken.
