81 to 82 tranny swap
I am getting ready to swap an 81 5 speed into an 82 with an auto. Let me run through the parts I have and let me know if there is anything missing that I will need.
5speed tranny
clutch
master and slave cylinders
pedal assembly
flywheel
pilot bearing
anything missing?
will I need a different drive shaft?
also, there is a vaccume line running from the auto tranny to the carb. What do I do with this? Does it just get blocked off? Are there any other differences in the carbs that need to be adjusted/modified to work with the 5speed tranny?
Is there a write up on this swap anywhere. I found lots of info on 2nd gen. auto to 5 speed swaps but not much on the 1st gens.
Any help/suggestions appreciated.

I believe the mounts under the chassis are different. You can run a flat piece of iron stock or thich aluminum and bolt the tranny mount on it and then to the auto or standard tranny crossmember.
I believe you need to swap the front counterweight to match the flywheel.
